Ray Morton (Glendale, CA) is a senior writer and columnist for Script magazine and the author of two previous books on film history: Close Encounters of the Third Kind: The Making of Steven Spielberg's Classic Film and King Kong: The History of a Movie Icon from Fay Wray to Peter Jackson (both by Applause Books). A graduate of New York University and the American Film Institute, Morton also works as a script analyst and consultant.
