A native of Philadelphia, Tyler Kepner has been a baseball writer for the New York Times since 2000 and before that covered the Angels for the Riverside Press-Enterprise and the Mariners for the SeattlePost-Intelligencer. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and their four children.
