Emily Alder is Associate Professor of Literature and Culture at Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland, and teaches, edits and writes about the Gothic, the weird and science fiction as often as she can. She is the author of Weird Fiction and Science at the Fin de Siècle and promotes the study of seas and coasts in literature through the Haunted Shores Research Network.
