(String Solo). The Bridges of Newcastle by Garth Knox was composed for the 14th Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and is an imaginary musical cruise down the Tyne river on a viola, passing under each of the seven magnificent bridges which link Newcastle to Gateshead.
