Janet Campbell is a Londoner of Jamaican heritage. An only child, she was bullied at school and was once told by teachers that she would not do well. These early experiences shaped her resilience and deepened her belief in the power of encouragement and self-expression.Through her career as a one-to-one support worker in primary schools, Janet developed a passion for teaching young children the valuable skills of reading and writing. She strongly believes that storytelling carries important life lessons that can inspire and uplift others. Her motivation to write Love Between a Boy and a Girl came after extensive research into relationships, love, romance, and the challenges they bring. Following an Achilles tendon injury that left her unable to work or leave the house, Janet used this time as an opportunity to complete her book. After attending a writers' workshop that set her firmly on the path to becoming an author, Janet has continued to write from the heart and soul. A self-confessed hopeless romantic, she embraces love as both her inspiration and her message.
