Ilana Snyder taught English in high schools, then worked in teacher education at Monash University for almost three decades as a lecturer and researcher. She has published eight academic books, including 'Hypertext' and 'The Literacy Wars', and many journal articles and book chapters. She is emeritus professor in the Faculty of Education, Monash University. She has also published reviews and commentaries in the Australian Book Review.
