Robyn Braun is a writer who explores the unruly edges of being human. Her work animates longing, ambition, shame, and love with surreal clarity and a wry, unflinching eye. Known for its surreal imagery and emotional candour, her writing refracts the familiar, exposing the quiet violence of power and the abiding nature of desire and hope. She earned an MFA from the University of British Columbia's School of Creative Writing and lives with her son and her cat in Edmonton, where she builds a life animated by love, curiosity, and a stubborn delight in being alive. Her first novella, The Head, was called "odd and wonderful" in the Edmonton Journal. Her novel in verse, The As Yet Unknown, will be published in Spring 2027.
