I've had a terrible life. I have nearly died a few times in serious accidents, and it has taken me almost all of my life to recover. But here I am now, a proud author.
I have tried to write this book as an experiment, mixing different experiences as well as trying to get an important message to the wider world. There's still lots to do, but I wonder sometimes if what I am trying to say is a sign of the times.
I was raised in a large family in the North West of England, although I am an only child to my mum, Margaret. At 23, I decided to dedicate the rest of my life to art, though I have often found the career very difficult.
Nevertheless, I believe that good art takes time and patience to make, and if you can show it off for perhaps people's admiration, it is well worth it. I would like to say to anybody who is serious about making decent art, 'Please don't give up!'
