The team trapped deep within the bowels of Gaia have picked up two new members. Elia and Ganymede. Elia is a giant, one connected to Sigmund. Ganymede is an enigma, an Ancient warlock older than any other warlock currently living. He was tasked with keeping the giants contained, stopping them from returning to the surface. But now his job is done and he wants to return. He guides them through the dangers of the Gigantomachy stronghold and the extensive crystal cave to the underground river beyond.

Best friends Christian and Briar are working through some things that have them re-evaluating their relationship. Floating down miles of river definitely gives one time to think, and think they do. Can friends become more? Can they step over that line without completely ruining everything? Are they willing to risk it all for love?

As they struggle with their changing relationship, they are forced to battle winged lizards and overcome the angry misunderstandings that have cropped up within the team.
