About the Story

Sam loves his toy car and takes it everywhere. He races beside it, plays with it with his pal Ben, and takes it to the park.

One day, Sam drops the car. It hits the ground and breaks. Sam feels sad, but Mom tells him they can try to fix it.

They sit at the table, use glue, and wait for the car to dry. When the repair is finished, Sam is happy to play with his favourite toy again.

The story ends with dinner, a book about a tiger and an owl, and a calm bedtime. The clear sequence and repeated sentence patterns help developing readers practise decoding, fluency, and comprehension.
