A Supernatural Soldier's Story
Private Arthur J. Wright is a paranormal exception. Killed at the Somme in WWI when only fifteen, this boy soldier refuses to pass over until he warns future generations not to be fooled by the lies of war. For 100 years, he has watched over Aylesford Village - silently ghosted and forgotten by the world, forced to witness generations of local boys walk blindly into the exact same trap.
The ghost soldier meets a fourteen-year-old, also named Arthur, who can miraculously see and hear him. The living Arthur is fighting a different kind of war, surrounded by a constant stream of digital propaganda on social media. The "War Machine" of 1914 has evolved into the deceptive social media algorithms of today.
There is a desperate race against time. The longer the ghost delays passing to the afterlife, the faster his energy drains. If he doesn't move on soon, he will fade away completely.
