Margaret M. Manchester is the author of contemporary women's fiction set in Rhode Island, where relationships, resilience, and the search for belonging are at the heart of every story. A historian by training, she earned her Ph.D. in American History and taught at Providence College for more than thirty years. Her academic career included a Fulbright scholarship to Hungary and teaching appointments in Rome and London. She is also the author of two nonfiction books on American history. The Truths We Carry reflects her longstanding interest in overlooked stories, social justice, and the quiet courage of ordinary people. She lives in Rhode Island.
