MARLOWE DALY-GALEANO is a professor of English and the director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Lewis-Clark State College, where she teaches courses in American literature, writing, and interdisciplinary studies. The author of a number of articles on the Alcotts, feminist practice, and teaching, her work has been published in various journals. She was an M. C. Lang fellow at the Rare Book School at the University of Virginia and received an honorable mention for the Beverly Lyon Clark article prize. She has served as an officer of the Louisa May Alcott Society for the past decade, and she currently serves as the society's president. She resides in Idaho.
